Gwyneth explains that it feels like her “first adult relationship” compared to her past high-profile relationships.
The Oscar-winning actress is now engaged to Brad Falchuk, an American Television writer, best known for ‘Glee’ and ‘American Horror Story’.
The 45-year-old was previously married to Coldplay’s lead musician Chris Martin for 10 years, they share two children together, daughter Apple and a son Moses, she was also engaged to Brad Pitt and dated Ben Affleck.
Following a conversation with relationship expert Esther Perel from the Sunday Times magazine, Gwyneth explained that she has finally found true happiness, where love is concerned. She said, “If you look at life like a pie chart, the romantic slice is where all the shit comes out”, she then went on to say, “I’ve always felt that I’m a good friend, mother, daughter, sister, boss, co-worker, but that I was most broken in that romantic slice”.
Gwyneth goes on to say, “I had two types of relationships, one where I was constantly chasing and trying to win someone over, and one where I was put off by the person’s capacity for the relationship and those relationships were very short-lived.” She admitted her past relationships lacked “a certain level of intimacy and communication”.
Following the end of her marriage, Gwyneth started dating Brad Falchuk and after 3 years of dating announced their engagement on the cover of Gwyneth’s Goop Magazine – Sex and Love Issue, in January 2018.
In a separate interview and photoshoot in the Goop Magazine, Gwyneth hinted at her problems with intimacy. “Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be.”
It will be Gwyneth’s second marriage “I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul -stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.”
Gwyneth and Brad recently had their engagement celebration gathering at a high profile, a stunning party organised by Brad’s close collaborator Ryan Murfy. Some of the celebrity guests who attended were Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Modder, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Steven Spielberg, Liz Tyler and Kate Hudson.
