This may be a shock to you to learn that over 50’s are more likely to kiss their partner on first dates than the younger generation, but a survey of over 200 adults by Ourtime found this was the case. Maybe by the time everyone reaches 50, you become more certain of who you want to kiss. You know what you want, so why wait if you have found the one?
Surprisingly, nearly a quarter of the older generation say they’d sleep with a new partner on or before month one compared to just 18% of 18-24-year-olds. This may be unexpected since received wisdom would suggest that each generation becomes more sexually liberated than the last, but Ourtime’s data shows something completely different. This might say more about millennials than it does for senior daters. The hook-up generation are actually the least sexual generation!
Also, 24% of 50+ daters are happy to have sex with the lights on within the first week of dating, compared to just 9% of younger people. Many assume that older men and women would feel more ashamed of their bodies, but in fact, it’s the complete opposite, demonstrating how we become more comfortable with ourselves as we age.
Older daters are 47% more likely to go exclusively within the first 6 months compared to 21% of younger daters. It goes back to what we have already mentioned once you know, you just know.
