Name: Chris Stableford | Age: 71
Tell us a little about yourself:
I am 71 years of age and since myself & my husband retired when we were 57 we have spent 6 months each year motor homing in Europe. I enjoy walking in the mountains, cycling, skiing and line dancing, exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, making new friends & socialising with lots of people who share a love of the outdoors. What I enjoy most though are the happy times spent with our family.
Describe your health and beauty philosophy?
Sufficient sleep, drink plenty of water, healthy diet, fulfilling exercise routine and use effective moisturisers on your face and body.
Have you made any big changes to yourself to help you feel good?
I’ve had three of my front teeth crowned and one implant to improve my smile! Hair is important to appearance so I always ensure I get a good cut & have regular highlights. Like most women in my age group (apart from celebrities) I have never had surgery nor do I spend much on treatments to help me feel good.
Do you find any part of maturing tough?
When you reach your 70s you realise that growing old “isn’t for softies”! The secret is to stay ‘young at heart’ and adapt a positive attitude.
Is there anything you wish you had done or not done in the past, that impacts how you feel today?
With the benefit of hindsight I would have:
- Devoted more time to taking care of my teeth
- Taken supplements to strengthen my bones to avoid Osteoporosis
- Done regular pelvic floor exercises
- Included Yoga in my exercise routine

Plump up my lips.
