Buttock Augmentation

What is buttock augmentation?

Buttock augmentation is where either implants or fat are transferred into the buttocks to enhance its appearance, shape and size. This procedure will improve the balance of your silhouette and increase fullness of your buttock to reduce the appearance of sagging skin.

What types of buttock augmentation are available?

Implants
Buttock implants are a way to add curve and definition while also adding fullness. This is a better option for those with less fatty tissue, however they are less effective to treat sagging buttocks. If you are looking for a more rounded appearance then implants are the best option for you.  This procedure can take around 1-2 hours.

Fat transfer
Fat transfer takes excess fat from an area like the abdomen or thighs to be refined and then injected into the buttocks to give it a fuller shape. Fat transfer usually creates more natural curve, and as the fat is injected the procedure is minimally invasive so it doesn’t take long and the recovery time is fast. This procedure can take around 2 and a half – 3 hours

Is buttock augmentation for you?

Before choosing to have buttock augmentation, you need to consider:

  • Are you comfortable with invasive surgery?
  • Can you stop smoking for 6 weeks?
  • Can you take 10 days – 3 weeks off?
  • Do you have much fatty tissue around your flank, abdomen or thighs?

You should always speak to your surgeon about all of these things in the consultation, before going ahead with the surgery.
