If you haven’t heard about Lumity yet, then you soon will: As well as a flurry of press from excited glossy magazine beauty Editors, Lumity has a long list of celebrity fans, including Mel C, Olympian Rebecca Adlington and Supermodel Yasmin Le Bon.

Lumity is an all-natural, anti-ageing supplement. Containing a cocktail of amino acids, omega fatty acids, vitamins and minerals to protect and rejuvenate the body.

The key to Lumity’s success is their night and day capsules that work in tandem with the body’s natural biorhythmic cycles.

This clever supplement was created by Cambridge University educated Dr. Sara Palmer Hussey, PhD, who studied why we age extensively before putting together a formula which she knew would work, with tangible benefits.

One glance at Lumity’s pages of five-star client reviews – which have page after page of fans positively raving about the product – is solid proof that Palmer Hussey’s supplements have proven to be a beauty industry game changer.

We decided to pick Sara’s brains and find out more about her ethos on ageing and what inspires her.

How did you come up with the name Lumity?

Lumity is all about light and radiance – it is how you feel when you have high energy, enthusiasm, strong health and balance. Growing older can make you feel like your light has gone out – you can feel overwhelmed, exhausted, lacking in sleep and enthusiasm. By supporting youthful efficiency in the body, strengthening your immune system, boosting energy, harnessing the regenerative quality of sleep and renewing the skin all over your body, not just on your face, Lumity gives you back your glow.

What was your key aim when formulating Lumity?

I think that beauty supplements have always been about skin, hair and nails, as if beauty were only skin-deep. I believe that outer beauty reflects inner-health. When I was formulating Lumity, my aim was to improve the way you feel just as much as how you look. I knew that if I could fundamentally improve cellular function, boost energy, repair and strengthen the whole system, it would noticeably ameliorate the quality of your skin, nails and hair, but, more importantly, it would also radically shift your experience of life. If you feel stronger, healthier, more energised and more balanced, your sense of wellbeing will increase and you will be beautiful and you will have a new radiance about you.

How would you sum up Lumity’s brand ethos?

Lumity is all about embracing healthy ageing: Beauty is not about a particular age, a particular look or a particular shape, it’s about authenticity and confidence, it has personality and it has passion.

I think traditionally products that are targeted at women and men as they age have been all about getting rid of wrinkles, but, if customers are anything like me, they want a more positive approach. It’s lovely to see healthy, clear skin when you look in the mirror, but for most of us how you feel is more important than more than how you look on a day to day basis.

I see the image of Lumity, for example, as a snapshot of a vibrant woman in action in the midst of her day, probably juggling too many commitments between family and work, but with Lumity’s support, she has the health, energy and enthusiasm. She needs to relish the life she is living – she looks strong and happy and that’s the new face of beauty.

How is Lumity’s approach different?

Ageing rears its head in the form of low energy levels, a weaker immune system, poor quality of sleep, hormonal imbalances, low stamina. Lumity targets all of these issues and supports healthier skin at the same time, so you can really start changing the way you feel on a day-to-day basis. Improving the way customers feel and not just the way they look is what’s key for me and my team.

I love that Lumity is proving to be a low-commitment health beauty secret that meets each customer where they are in their lives, demands no overhaul of lifestyle but seeks instead to give the extra support we all need to do all the things we set ourselves to do, be all that we can be and live our lives to the full with health and enthusiasm.

What’s your top tip for improving health?

Make balance your life mantra! Unfortunately, stress is a fact of life for most of us, but balance that with some restorative rest, relaxation and fun. A little wine, chocolate or pizza every now and again is fine if your usual diet is generally healthy and rich in fruit and vegetables. Give yourself permission to go AWOL every so often; switch off all digital devices and taste the freedom, especially if your sense of responsibility usually has you on call 24/7 even though you don’t work for the emergency services. Find your chill out switch and use it regularly, go out with friends, stay in with friends, have proper belly laughs as often as you can and if you’re going to be obsessive about exercise, prioritise getting enough quality sleep too.

What do you think makes Lumity so popular?

I think firstly women connect with the philosophy that the body knows best and a supplement’s role is to support the body rather than seek to correct it. Then, once people try Lumity and start to notice significant improvements, obviously it is these tangible benefits that keeps our customers happy and gets people talking about our product. It can be rare for a brand in the health and beauty sector to live up to its promises, but when it does, it creates excitement. Our popularity has definitely been born out of the buzz that word-of-mouth creates; when you see a friend radiating health and energy and you find out that her secret weapon is Lumity, that’s the best endorsement we could ever hope for and I love the thought that our best brand ambassadors are our customers.
