4 Must Try London Spas

You don’t have to go to the Country to enjoy and relax in a spa; Here are a few of our favourites in good old London Town!

1. Banya No.1 Russian Bath Club & Wellness Spa

With a fitting name to start of the list, Banya No.1 is home to the first and only traditional Russian baths in London.

The spa specialises in Russian massage, which involves being swathed in hot wet leaves and pummelled by venik, a leafy bundle of herbs – not for the faint hearted!! A muscle tension relief! Unlike conventional saunas, Banya surrounds you with high levels of steam as water is splashed onto cast iron heated to 700ºC inside a brick furnace, you’ll feel warm!

Amid the pummellings, you can also expect plenty of vodka shots and tasty Russian delicacies as part of the Slavonic experience. So book a cab or hotel for the night! This experience lasts around 3 hours and will set you back £90.00.

2. Agua Bathhouse & Spa at Mondrian London – Prices from £65

Agua Bathhouse and Spa at The Mondrian If you live or work on the South side of the Thames, make the vast Agua Bathhouse and Spa at the Mondrian London your go-to destination for relaxing massages and facials. I found it very relaxing and intimate, the mud treatment and head massage using Soveral’s oil blends totally drew out the toxins and relaxed me! Perfect for an after work treatment with the girlfriend as they often have special offers on!

3. The Health Club at One Aldwych – Prices from £195

The pool is amazing, underwater music, no chlorine to dry you out! And 18metres so you can have a decent swim if you want to! The spa is really intimate and the Staff make you feel really welcome, I felt very relaxed after a therapeutic massage, should really have booked a room for the night!

4. The Spa Pimilico – Prices from £69

A wonderful Moroccan theme runs throughout and your senses run wild with the gorgeous spicy scents and dim lighting, a relaxing feeling comes over you the minute you walk in!
You walk through the onsite shop to enter the spa and here they sell the popular Black Soap which is pure crushed Moroccan olives with eucalyptus oil, used within some of the treatments. There are five treatment rooms, 2 for the more traditional waxing! The others for pleasure!! I relaxed into the bed to begin the ‘journey of the spices’ this is top to toe exfoliation and massage, a real treat! It left me feeling totally clean and well buffed!!
