Vaginal Dryness
As many as 80% of women entering the menopause experience vaginal dryness
One of the less talked about symptoms of the menopause is vaginal dryness, despite being just as common as hot flushes! For many, it can be an embarrassing and sensitive issue causing many women go without reporting it to their doctor or looking for treatments to help. This can harm relationships as women often avoid sex as a result.
Oestrogen is responsible for producing lubricant for the vagina and when levels drop dramatically during the menopause, we become dryer.
Vaginal dryness is extremely treatable, whether you choose to use long-lasting lubricants, HRT or natural alternatives.
