Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-invasive, FDA approved treatment that uses ultrasound waves to tighten the skin. These waves stimulate natural collagen production and result in a firmer, plumper looking complexion, with the ability to lift the face and neck. A full face and neck lift takes 90 minutes and the effects last up to a year.

What types of Ultherapy are available?

Ultherapy® are currently the only brand using ultrasonic waves to tighten the skin.

Is Ultherapy For You?

Like most cosmetic procedures, you should be in good health before undergoing it. There are few medical conditions that will compromise your ability to go through with the procedure. The guidelines simply state you should be of an age where skin is starting to sag (30+) in order for the treatment to have significant effects. Additionally, you shouldn’t have the treatment when pregnant as the effects are not known.

Typical cost of Ultherapy

Ultherapy typically costs £1,500 to £4,500 depending on the areas being treated.

Risks & side effects

Since the procedure is non-invasive, the ultrasound waves bypass the skin, reaching the deeper layers to stimulate collagen, so there are little side effects. Swelling and tingling commonly occur and can last a few weeks.
