Age: 45

Tell us a little about  yourself:

I am 45, a nutrition and exercise coach working specifically with women over 40, who feel older than they should. My online coaching programs help my clients feel young, sexy and fun again in the shortest time possible. I am a bikini competitor, something that helps me stay focused and continually learning about my body as I age.

Describe your health and beauty philosophy?

To eat well and exercise regularly, to drink enough water, to use clean products on your skin and hair and look after your body from the inside out and of course to have fun and laugh a lot!

Have you made any big changes to yourself to help you feel good?

Yes when I hit 40 I realised that my body was changing, nothing that worked in the past seemed to work for me and I felt exhausted, looked middle aged and was overweight. I went on holiday with friends and realised that something needed to change when I saw the holiday snaps. So I decided to get my act together, clean up my nutrition, exercise at the right intensity and I lost over 2 stone within my first year and have focused on building the body of my dreams and have continued to improve by competing over the last 3 years.

I’ve had permanent makeup to my eyebrows applied and I had my breasts enhanced. Best thing for me! I absolutely love the results.

Do you find any part of maturing tough?

I find the changes to my body, general mood or tolerance of things bemusing at times. I have always celebrated birthdays happily and never felt like I didn’t want to turn a year older, I have always viewed change as a positive thing, so not tough, just another chapter of my life to learn about, to be the best I can be and enjoy what life has to offer.

Is there any area of your beauty and well-being you would like to improve?

Continued progress on a physical level.

Who is your pro ageing icon?

Madonna !! I know she isn’t perfect, but growing up in the 80’s with her music made an impression on me. One of independence, freedom, strength and style.

How do you feel about your age now vs. your youth?

I have loved every year that has gone by, I have no regrets. My mantra is that the best is yet to come.

What’s are your favourite beauty products on your bathroom shelf?

These two are awesome !!

What lifestyle habits are most important to you?

Eating well, exercising regularly and taking time out for me.
